Technoport was set-up in June 2012 as the result of the merge between the former Technoport, a technology-oriented business incubator launched by the Public Research Center Henri Tudor back in 1998, and Ecostart I and II, business support infrastructures developed since 2004 by the Ministry of the Economy and Foreign Trade.

The global mission of Technoport is to help and support individuals and small teams to validate and bridge their ideas to success. They do it by providing both individual entrepreneurs and foreign innovative businesses with access to resources that they typically lack in terms of business support services and infrastructure; and by offering individuals, small teams and corporates the opportunity to access multidisciplinary communities of like-minded persons to co-design or co-develop their products or ideas.

Diego de Biasio has been managing research projects and business incubators for more than 15 years. He has extensive experience in human resources and international project management. Before joining Technoport, he worked as a researcher at CRP Henri Tudor, a public research centre specialised in ICT, training tools and health technologies, supporting incubation of start-ups, knowledge and technology transfer, the exploitation of results as well as the development of spin-off companies by teams of students and researchers. He is very active in building cooperation schemes and partnerships for Technoport at national and international level and has set up collaboration programmes over the last few years with e.g. the social innovation Groupe SOS Pulse in France. He is heavily involved in setting new sectoral incubators and innovation hubs in Luxembourg, as well as participating to national sectoral acceleration programmes, providing access to intensive training, coaching, facilities and support for the successful development of innovative ventures.
