Established as the first startup accelerator in North Macedonia, NewMan’s Business Accelerator currently runs the majority of interconnected programmes in the area of education, entrepreneurship, corporate innovations, and investments. Over the last 5 years, NewMan’s BA has hosted over 160 startup events and has organized high-tech training for over 6500 participants.

Irena Chaushevska is the CoFounder and CEO of the 1st Business Accelerator established in North Macedonia in early 2014 and among the first in the Balkans region - the “NewMan's Business Accelerator” and Executive Director of the Goldilocks Foundation. She has 16+ years experience in entrepreneurship, business ecosystems development, corporate and investment law, innovation, business, technology and human resources development. Chaushevska has advised governments and hubs in the region and helped them set out acceleration programs. She is mentor and speaker at many business events worldwide and has a global network of over 15.000 business execs, experts and investors. Chaushevska holds a Bachelor of Laws, a Master's Degree in Marketing and PR(Sheffield University, UK) and Executive Education Certificates in Government Negotiations from the Kennedy School of Government (Harvard University, USA) and in Finance and Investment Portfolios (Stanford University, USA). Irena was the 1st invited speaker from North Macedonia at Stanford University, USA and she got opportunity to speak in 2 occasions for: “European Innovation and Entrepreneurship” and “How to launch a startup from a Hackathon” in 2016. She is an Alumni of the Singularity University (Silicon Valley) class of 2016 for which she won a full Google Scholarship and a Fellow of the U.S. State Department of the Young Transatlantic Innovative Leaders Initiative class of 2017. For 7 years she holds the licence and organises the NASA’s startups competition for Earth and Space innovations "NASA Space Apps Challenge“ in Silicon Valley, Central and Eastern Europe and North Macedonia and for 3 years for the ESA’s (European Space Agency) startups competition “Act in Space” in USA and North Macedonia.
