The Innovation Center for Inclusive Business (CINI) is a platform for generating and transferring knowledge aimed at promoting sustainable economic development through inclusive business models. CINI works with universities, international organizations, government agencies and business associations to broaden their experience and knowledge of inclusive business projects that are beneficial to society as a whole.
We invite all individuals, organizations and institutions interested in promoting inclusive business development as a way to actively participate in the activities of this platform. Vision To become a reference network of international experts to promote innovation in the design and development of inclusive business.

Fernando Casado Cañeque is a Doctor of Economics and journalist on themes relating to international development. He has worked as advisor to a variety of different organizations including the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO), the United Nations Division for Sustainable Development (UNDSD), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the World Bank and as General Coordinator of the Millennium Development Campaign in Spain. He has also worked as a Senior Consultant in the Department of Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in New York. Fernando has prepared reports for the UN Global Compact on the sustainability and social impact of the automobile industry in India, evaluated CSR policies in SMEs at the global level, developed comparative analyses of Type II partnerships at the Johannesburg World Summit and collaborated on various reports for UNIDO, among which is the report Industrialization, Environment and the Millennium Development Goals in Sub-Saharan Africa. He is the author of the books, La RSE ante el Espejo and Las Alianzas Público-Privadas para el Desarrollo as well as a range of articles on development economics, globalization and sustainability; and producer of a documentary on primary school access in rural areas of Honduras. He has a Ph.D. from the Central University of Barcelona in Economic and Social Sciences, a Master´s from the University of Columbia in New York, specializing in Economic Development and Journalism, and a postgraduate degree in Environmental Management from the University of Barcelona’s Institute for Public Economics.
